2022This shoot, aptly named Mob Boss, was inspired by the commanding energy of its namesake marijuana strain and the dark charisma of a mob boss supervillain. Rae, the model, delivered a performance that was nothing short of incredible, bringing a raw and captivating presence to every frame. It’s almost impossible to believe this was her first time being photographed with a professional camera, as she carried herself with the poise and confidence of a seasoned pro. We leaned into a minimalist approach to allow the concept and Rae’s energy to take center stage—shooting in the clean, modern corner of a high-rise penthouse and keeping the edits in bold black and white. The stark tones highlight the mood and intensity of the vision, creating a cinematic series of images that radiate power, mystery, and timeless sophistication. This shoot exemplifies how simplicity, paired with the right elements and a strong concept, can result in an unforgettable, evocative body of work.
