The Weekend
This shoot perfectly captured the unfiltered spontaneity and chaos of a Las Vegas weekend. My dear friend Cheyenne and I were deep into a sleepless party marathon at the Caesar’s Palace when inspiration struck around 7 or 8 a.m. Stealing a rare quiet moment away from our group, I grabbed my camera and told her to get into the bathtub. The hazy, impulsive energy of that moment translated beautifully through the lens, as the image in my mind came to life in real time. It’s shoots like this—unplanned and serendipitous—that remind me how rewarding it is to let creativity take over. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but this shoot? It’s immortalized forever. After the trip, I even wrote a poem about the whirlwind weekend we shared, which you can find below.
Stay Mile High ✌️
The Weekend
Blurry dizzy drunken dreams
Soaked in neon city beams
Lose ourselves in Vegas lights
Can’t see straight to save our lives
Liquored lips and reveries
Self destructive tendencies
Bodies bare and hot with bliss
The word “no” does not exist
Wrecking pretty penthouse suites
Carelessly denying sleep
Manic minds start to unwind
Playing on another’s dime
Dancing down the flashy streets
Seeking pure debauchery
Under our own frenzy spell
Sunrise can go fuck itself
Detached from reality
No regrets we’ll ever need
Reckless rebels on the run
Who knew sin could be so fun?
