Coma

Aidyn, the young and promising dubstep & riddim DJ known as Coma, reached out to me for a photoshoot that would capture the dark, grungy aesthetic central to his image and sound. Known for performing clad in a hospital gown, Coma embodies the persona of an escaped psych ward patient, on the run in pursuit of the grimy riddim chops that define his music—music he confidently claims will “put you in a coma.” To fully realize his vision, we shot at night with flash, utilizing the raw and industrial vibe of the space behind the River Bar, where he performed later that evening. Working with Aidyn was both fun and effortless, as he naturally embodied the specific aesthetic he was aiming for, making our collaboration seamless and exciting.
